Impassive

As invisible as a thought,
As silent as a dream.
As open as a secret;
Screaming out to be released.
Confined to four walls,
Yet, content and serene.
Impassive to the world,
The loneliness, unseen.
Isolated among friends,
But with stranger naive.
Expose to Familiarities,
Triggers fires, obstinate.

-Momina.

  1. I'm quite an impassive person myself and I think you've managed to sum it up quite nicely there and quite beautifully too.

  2. The extent to which I can relate to this piece is eerie. But nonetheless, it's a brilliant poem. Keep it up.

  5. The great metaphoric connection in first three line - a rapture, Mo. Just so eye-catching. The over all bliss feel is really moving. I envy you, for you do wonders in few lines ; whether be poetry or prose.

    1. Thank you so much! You have no idea how happy your views make me feel! And don't envy me, woman, you yourself are such a wonderful writer, your poetry leaves me wishing I could write that way!
